Shooting super 8 enriches the travel experience. However, it's a commitment. Unlike video, your resources are limited. You need to shoot sparingly and carefully frame your shots. The cameras are heavy and the film isn't cheap.

What I love about super 8 is the sensual experience of it all. The sound of the whirling motor and the feel of the camera is pleasurable. Each frame is a photograph. Every shot tells a story. The format evokes instant nostalgia.

The best part is meeting fellow travelers and sharing super 8 stories. It's amazing how small movies have affected so many people around the world.
